A former governor of Kaduna state, Balarabe Musa, on Thursday, October 11, said former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s endorsement of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 presidential election will amount to nothing, since the ex-head of state is no longer among the bigwig in Nigeria's political space, The Independent reports.
In a conversation with newsmen, Musa stated that it is unfortunate that Atiku who wants to take over the presidency in 2019 is already associating himself with persons like Obasanjo who allegedly messed up things in the country during his regime.
Meanwhile, mixed reactions have trailed ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo's endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Nigerians from all walks of life have reacted to the development shortly after the endorsement of the former vice president.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Atiku got the endorse of Obasanjo on Thursday, October 11, as he seeks to be Nigeria's president in 2019.
Atiku arrived Obasanjo’s home around 1:12pm on Thursday afternoon, accompanied by PDP national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, and the director general of the Atiku Campaign Organisation, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
Also present at the meeting was a top chieftain of the main opposition party, Chief Olabode George, and Afenifere leaders led by Chief Ayo Adebanjo.
