Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi received some love and supports from Nigerian football fans in Uyo on Wednesday afternoon, October 10, as he made his way to training ahead of the Super Eagles' game against Libya.
After missing the Super Eagles' last victory over Seychelles in 2019 AFCON qualifier, Alex Iwobi made a return to Gernot Rohr's squad and he is expected to start on Saturday.
And while he was on his way to the stadium in Uyo, large number of the Super Eagles fans saluted him by shouting his name and that of his Premier League team Arsenal.
Iwobi also returned the gesture by taking some photos with the fans before entering into the Super Eagles bus.
This season, Alex Iwobi has been impressive for the Gunners who have won their last six games in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles are currently occupying third position in Group E, and they must beat Libya on Saturday to put their 2019 AFCON qualification race back on track.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how head coach of the Libyan national senior football team Adel Amrouche resigned his position with the country's football governing body.
He left the team's camp in Tunisia four days to their 2019 AFCON clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria which is expected to be played at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo.
