Despite several warnings about domestic violence cases in Nigeria, it appears that some women still suffer from this great danger. 8
On Wednesday, October 10, a young lady PamelaHoney (@pam_andiee) took to her Twitter handle to call out her friend’s boyfriend, Toluwalase Oyebanji Joel, for beating up his woman.
Pamela revealed that Joel is an alumnus of Bowen University, she advised anyone who knows the young man to warn him about raising his hands on women.
Her posts read: “I always hate to read or hear about domestic violence cases and how sometimes it ends up badly and now it’s happened to my friend. Please if you know any Toluwalase Oyebanji Joel that finished from Bowen. Let him know that his dog behavior is enough. He put his hands on his ex-girlfriend too. I have evidence. I’m so mad!”

Without wasting much time, Joel replied Pamela’s tweet as he confirmed beating his girlfriend, Amaka. He also apologised to Amaka via social media, revealing that he should have been more patient.
He said: “I am sorry to say this out here but this isn't my wish. I hated that I wasn't a little bit more patient, I hate that with all I was the one carrying the hatred among all men and women seeing this. What more can I say than I am sorry Amaka please.”
Joel’s reply got the attention of an advocate @The_OllieMead, who asked several questions about why he is living as a free man, why he has not been arrested by the police and why Amaka’s brothers or cousins cannot fight for her.

However, Pamela has deleted the original tweet.
