The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, October 9, at the Presidential villa, Abuja, met behind closed doors with Governor Muhammadu Bindow of Adamawa state. They met at the vice president’s office for over one hour.
At the end of the meeting, Bindow avoided an encounter with State House correspondents who were waiting to interview him, The Punch reports.
He was said to have been aided out of Osinbajo’s office through another exit in order to avoid the journalists when the meeting ended around 5 pm.
Adamawa state was one of the states where the ruling All Progressives Congress witnessed a rancorous primary.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, met with Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state.
The vice president met him alongside Femi Hamzat, one of the Lagos state governorship aspirants who had earlier announced his withdrawal from the race to support Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The meeting was held on Saturday afternoon at Ikoyi, Lagos.

The APC made this known in a tweet that read: "Just in: VP Yemi Osibajo @ProfOsinbajo meets Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jideS and Femi Hamzat @FemiHamzat, this afternoon at Ikoyi, Lagos, just after Hamzat stepped down to endorse Sanwoolu for the Lagos Guber race."
