Police allegedly refuse to release innocent corps member who was arrested during a raid

- It was gathered that the corp member has been refused bail even after the National Youth Service Corps intervened

Twitter user @umelojoe has called for help to find justice for a Lagos state corp member who he claimed was wrongfully arrested during a police raid in Bariga. The Twitter user revealed that the corp member identified himself.

According to @umelojoe, the corp member identified as, EZE James with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) number LA18b/2361, was first detained in Bariga station before he was locked at Ikoyi prison after his case was heard in court.

The Twitter user revealed that James was even defended by the NYSC and they had requested for a bail which was denied at the police station.

It was gathered that an illegal power connection in Bariga had led to the raid that led to a mass arrest. @umelojoe claimed that the police had arrested people randomly.

He further revealed that James was arrested two months after leaving the Lagos orientation camp to start his life as a corp member. He asked Nigerians to help him spread the news so that James can receive justice.
