- His status in the world of football has seen a 7-year old Ugandan boy penned the Juventus star a passionate letter

- In the letter, the youngster pleaded to meet Cristiano Ronaldo

- He also wants the Portuguese talisman to make a return to Manchester United

A 7-year old Ugandan boy only identified as Jason has taken time to write Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo an impassioned letter asking to meet him.

A family friend took to social media to publicize the letter dated September 20 2017, appealing to Twitter users to help the youngster realize his dream of meeting his idol.

In the concisely written letter, Jason outlined his desire to meet the ex-Real Madrid star before asking the 33-year old to "come back to Manchester United."

The Twitter post has since received a lot of traction with some users tagging Ronaldo the tweet in an attempt to get his attention.

Others described Jason's dream to see Ronaldo in a Manchester United shirt as a little "over-ambitious," even as some cheekily noted that the star forward will be back to the Premier League club on Tuesday, October 23, when the side battles Juventus in a Champions League clash.

Ronaldo joined Manchester United in 2003 from Portugal side, Sporting Lisbon, before sealing a stunning move to Real Madrid six years later for a then world record fee of £80 million.

He went on to enjoy a terrific career at the Santiago Bernabeu where he won countless trophies including an epic hat-trick of the European Champions League title.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was widely linked with a return to Old Trafford in the summer transfer, but the deal failed to pull through.

He instead sealed a move to Italian giants, Juventus where he has rediscovered his form after a poor start this season.
