Breaking: DSS arrests Senator Marafa over Zamfara APC crisis

- DSS has reportedly arrested Senator Kabir Marafa of Zamfara state

- Marafa was said to have engaged in a fight with a former minister of communication, Alhaji Aliyu Bilbis, at APC stakeholders' meeting

- The fight was reported to have generated tension as the supporters of the two factions were ready for acrimony

Pandemonium erupted at the City King Hotel, Gusau, Zamfara state capital venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders' meeting as Senator Kabir Marafa and the former minister of state communication, Alhaji Aliyu Bilbis, engaged in a free for all fight.

Leadership reports that the two arch rivals engaged in exchange of blows.

Legit.ng gathered that the fight generated tension as the supporters of the two factions were ready for acrimony.

It was reported that the state director of Department of State Security (DSS) ordered his men to whisk Senator Marafa as his details attempted to resist but Marafa was said to have asked his aides to remain calm and followed the DSS official to their office.

According to the newspaper, the two factions were set for show down as none of the faction was ready for compromise over the conduct of the primaries.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the first lady, Aisha Buhari, expressed disappointment over some of the conducts that occurred during the primary election in some states by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement on Sunday, October 7, the first lady noted that some aspirants who had purchased forms on the platform of the party found out that their names were omitted on the day of election.

Aisha said it was more saddening that it is happening under the watch of of the national leader of the ruling APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
