Manchester United have reportedly denied media reports claiming coach Jose Mourinho will be sacked regardless his side's Premier League outcome against Newcastle United.

The Red Devils have struggled since the start of the current season with just four wins all ten matches in all competitions this term.

With the recent outcomes, United are tenth on the EPL table while their goalless draw against Valencia in the Champions League pushed them two points behind Juventus on Group H table.

SunSport however report that the Old Trafford outfit have debunked such rumours - saying it doesn't represent their stand on their manager's situation.

Although, the manager was said to have been given time to turn the club's situation around as they hope to contend for all the titles available except for the EFL Cup where they were dumped out by lower league side Derby County.

According to stats, this is United's worst start to a season in 29 years, as the last time they went five games at Old Trafford without winning was in the 1989/90 season.

And if they lose on Saturday, they would have equaled that record as they host Rafael Benitez's side Newcastle United.
