Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina state has denied endorsing any All Progressives Congress (APC) political aspirant jostling for elective office.
Masari in a statement by his senior special assistant on media, Abdu Labaran Malumfashi, said he does not plan to do anything contrary to APC constitution which spells out how the party’s primary elections, are to be conducted.
"The government has not interfered with but has allowed the process to take its natural course, with delegates going about their business according to their conviction and conscience without let or hindrance from any quarters," the statement read.
”It is important to note that political office seekers, especially those who know that they stand little chance of victory, will go to any length to rubbish the process even before it commences” it added.

Meanwhile, fresh crisis may brew up in Kano as aspirants under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reportedly registered their displeasure over an alleged imposition of candidates and violations of electoral guidelines by the electoral panels in the state.
Premium Times reports that dozens of aspirants vying for seat into the federal and state House of Assembly stormed Prince Hotel in Kano with different placards alleging injustice, imposition of candidates, and irregularities in the processes.
Legit.ng gathers that one of the aspirants for Ungogo/Minjibir federal constituency, Abdullahi Ramat, kicked against the process that led to the emergence of one Tajo Zaura, as the party’s candidate.
