Manchester City emerging star Phil Foden has bought a house worth be around £2million for himself and his family.

According to Sportsmail, his parents, Phil and Claire are thought to have chosen the house as the youngster is determined to keep the family close to one another.

The 18-year-old's success has made them move out of their former modest home in Edgeley to a more affluent location in the south of Manchester.

The move is likely to change little for the England star who has always lived at home, does not take alcohol and yet to drive.

He makes use of cash rather than cards when having fun on night out and it is understood Foden had taken out a substantial mortgage on the new house.

The player is thought to have no intention in seeking for a loan move out of the Etihad and his hometown, in an attempt to fight for a place in Pep Guardiola's side.

Foden still goes fishing with his father which makes his attachment to his family suit his continuing development at City.

There have been no discussions about a new contract for the youngster but his parents are happy with the development under Guardiola.

The former England U-17 international was praised by Guardiola in City's Carabao Cup win over Oxford United and said he would love to work with the teenager till the next decade.

The Spanish manager has warned against putting too much pressure on the player after his performance had led to his comparisons with Andreas Iniesta.

"Andres is a big, big word," Guardiola said. "I am not going to say he can become Andres Iniesta because it puts a lot of pressure on him."

Meanwhile, had earlier reported that Italian League champions Juventus are reportedly plotting to land Manchester City youngster Phil Foden.

The Serie A giants are also interested in signing Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho as part of their efforts to build the future.
