Nigerian stylist returns the N600k mistakenly sent to him, recounts experience

Honesty, like some people say is the best policy. However, it takes a lot for someone to decide to be truthful, especially if the consequence is not immediate.

Such is the case of a Nigerian stylist, identified as Mide Oyewunmi Kelvin (@unclemide), on social media. The handsome stylist recounted his experience whereby his moral values were tested.

According to him, he received the sum of N600,000 from an unknown person, and he was battling with whether to return the money or not.

Mide explained that he was watching a football match when he received a credit alert of N600,000. He wondered about where the money came from, and he even went to social media to search for the details of the sender, all to no avail.

However, when he wasn’t able to locate the owner of the money, the idea started to form in his mind about whether he should use the money to offset some of his debts or not.

Later in the day, the stylist claimed to have received a call, and it turned out to be from a former customer who is now based abroad. It was discovered that the money was mistakenly sent to him and that it actually belonged to someone else.
