- Paul Ince believes Red Devils stars are planning to get the manager sacked

Former England international Paul Ince has accused Manchester United stars of deliberately conspiring to get Jose Mourinho sacked according to the Sun.

The atmosphere at Old Trafford seem toxic as the relationship between the Red Devils manager and his star midfielder Paul Pogba is deteriorating.

They are yet to win a game in the last four matches in all competitions with the Portuguese tactician been tipped to be replaced anytime soon.

Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino have been lined up to replace Mourinho at the club.

Speaking to Paddy Power News, Ince said: "Yes, there might be a couple of players who are trying - but you need the whole team to be contributing.

"It looks to me as though they’re not interested in playing for Jose Mourinho anymore.

"Some players want Man United to get beat, just so that there’s pressure on Mourinho to be sacked.

"The amount of times that you see a new manager go to a club and suddenly, the whole team are up for it.

"You have to question the attitude of the players."

He continued: "When I played for the club I saw it as an honour and although I didn’t always play well, no one could ever accuse me of not putting the work in.

"What I find disappointing is those players are happy for Mourinho to take the blame.

"They should be admitting the fact that they are responsible for the way they’re playing.

"They’re throwing him under the bus, despite putting in poor performances every week. - and they’re getting away with it."

Ince also has a word for Belgium international Romelu Lukaku - labelling the forward "atrocious".

The former Everton striker has five goals in 11 games already this season, but Ince says he has to to improve his all-round game - citing Sergio Aguero as the perfect example to follow.

He added: "This is Man United we’re talking about. Players must do better.

"Romelu Lukaku has been atrocious, against Valencia he was terrible to watch.

"His scoring record is phenomenal, and he’s evidently talented, but he must contribute more.

"When you look at what someone like Sergio Aguero does for Man City – it doesn’t compare.

"He contributes to all aspects of the game. Lukaku has to have the ball right in front of him, and even then, he’s missing clear chances." previously reported that Jose Mourinho has made it clear that his job at Old Trafford is not in jeopardy despite recent poor performance this season in the Premier League.

After defeats against Derby County and West Ham United, Jose Mourinho is now under serious pressure ahead of the club's Champions League tie against Valencia.

Jose Mourinho addressed the media on Monday afternoon ahead of the game against Valencia claiming that his players are behind him, but stressed that some care more.
