- Bianca's bid to represent the people of Anambra at the Senate has collapsed
- She lost the APGA ticket to another candidate, Prince Nicholas
- Prior to the primary, her political ambition has polarised her late husband's family
Bianca Ojukwu's hope to represent the people of Anambra South senatorial district was dashed on Thursday, October 4, as Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu from Nnewi South local government area clinched the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ticket for the zone.
Vanguard reports that in the APGA primary held in the state, Bianca was floored along with another aspirant, Anselem Enyimba.
Legit.ng notes that Bianca, the wife of the late veteran warlord, Dim Ojukwu, was a former Nigerian ambassador to Spain.
Her ambition has generated ripples of controversy among her husband's clan, with relatives and family members of the late war veteran drumming against what they termed as an aberration and slap on the face of the Anambra people.
They argued that Bianca is an Enugu woman. Her marriage to the late patriarch of their family did not give her a political edge over Anambra people.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that some family members of the late Biafra leader, Dim Ojukwu, had vowed never to give their support to Bianca Ojukwu if she eventually emerged as the flag-bearer APGA.
The rejection came following Bianca's declaration that she was willing to represent the people of Anambra South senatorial district at the Senate in 2019.
