The Lagos state deputy governor, Idiat Adebule, has abandoned her boss, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, as she announced that she would support Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election.
Adebule told newsmen at Ward A and D, in Iba local council development area of Lagos where she participated in the governorship primary of the APC that she would endorse the candidate chosen by the party.
“The party has chosen a man and it is that man that I will support and follow,” she said.
"We have voted for who the leaders of the party have chosen. Our people have decided who they want and I am with them. You can see the overwhelming crowd.
"It is with my people and the party, that I stand."
Legit.ng earlier reported that going by reports, there were indications that the governorship aspirant in Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, claimed an early lead ahead of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at the breathtaking primary across local governments in the state including the Alausa area of Ikeja, the state capital.
The voting process of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary was disrupted for a while at ward G north, Abesan in Alimosho, as thugs chased away voters.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the thugs numbering about 15 invaded the Abesan High School, venue of the exercise around 9.45am, flogging voters and preventing them from being accredited.
