It is a black day for some residents of Lagos as a tanker said to have been loaded with fuel, exploded along the Badagry expressway in the morning of Tuesday, October 2, reportedly killing an unspecified number of people.
Reports said that many of the residents were burnt while some houses were razed.
At the time of this report, details about the incident were still sketchy.
The incident is coming few months after a fuel-laden tanker exploded on the Otedola bridge end of the Lagos-Ibadan highway.
Legit.ng reported that no fewer than nine persons were burnt beyond recognition with 54 vehicles torched in the fuel tanker explosion that occurred on Thursday, June 28, at Otedola Bridge, near the old toll gate, Alausa, Lagos.

The spokesman, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Kehinde Adebayo, confirmed the incident stressing that four persons sustained various degrees of injury.
Legit.ng gathered that Adebayo said the accident was caused by a fuel tanker loaded with 33,000 litres of petrol heading towards Berger along Lagos/Ibadan Express.
