Premier League giants Manchester United have rubbished claims that they are planning to hire former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane as replacement for embattled Jose Mourinho.

On Saturday, Manchester United suffered their third Premier League defeat of the season and there have been reports that Jose Mourinho could face the exit doors.

His recent bust-up with Frenchman Paul Pogba is also said to be another issue that could send the Special One out of Old Trafford.

But a senior United source described according to UK Mirror that claims they have approached former Real Madrid boss Zidane as Mourinho's successor as “rubbish.”

The report also added that Manchester United want to give Jose Mourinho more time to arrest the slump and believe that making a change during the season is also fraught with danger.

Manchester United are currently occupying 10th position on the Premier League standings with ten points after seven games played this term.
