- Jose Mourinho's days at Manchester United could be numbered at Old Trafford

- The Portuguese is facing challenges with results and clashies with Paul Pogba

- Pundits have predicted his premature end with the Red Devils in January and are tipping him to make a surprise move to Wolves

Jose Mourinho could leave Manchester United to join Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers after his side were dumped out of the Carabao Cup.

Thereafter, the 55-year-old clashed with Paul Pogba in United's practice session on Wednesday's at Carrington.

The World Cup winner was not listed for the match with Derby as he watched from the stands at Old Trafford.

Now pundits have predicted a premature end to his tenure at the Theatre of Dreams and make the switch to Wolves.

Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes has been heavily involved with proceedings at the Molineux and could play a part in landing the Special One at Wolves.

Current Wolves manager Nuno Santos is already getting the plaudits for job well done since promoting his back into the Premier League.

And there are not any known plans that Wolves are looking to dispose of him.

The France international gave his boss a stony look in response before they walked together for a moment, with more words and frowns being exchanged.

In extended footage, which lasted for over two minutes, Pogba appeared to be outspoken - in whatever they were discussing - before they both walked away.
