The vice president of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, met with the new director general of the Director of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, during a closed door meeting at the State House, Abuja on Tuesday, September 25.
Legit.ng gathers that the details of the meeting between the new DSS boss and the vice president is yet to be released to the press.
Channels TV reports that Bichi declined to speak to journalists after meeting with the vice president.
Bichi was appointed the director of DSS after the former director, was dismissed from the agency. He reported for work on Friday, September 14, at the headquarters to take control of the secret agency.
Peter Afunanya, spokesman of the agency said the new director addressed the management and called for members’ support.
Bichi also affirmed that the service will support government agenda on rebuilding the economy, stamping out insecurity and fighting corruption. He enjoined the staff to refocus their intelligence collection efforts in this direction.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, September 20, met with Bichi at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
When Bichi was ushered into the president’s office by protocol officials, he was asked by Buhari if they had met before.
The new DG, however, ‘confessed’ that he was seeing President Buhari face-to-face for the first time in his life.
