Body shaming is common in the entertainment industry and it should be curbed as much as possible. Talented people, regardless of their looks, should be given a fair chance at fame.
According to several reports, a music critic, identified as Osagie ‘Osagz’ Alonge, shared his controversial view on some musicians including Wizkid and Teniola, among others, on his podcast called Loose Talks.
The music critic is facing serious heat from some Nigerians on Twitter because of his comment on fast rising music star, Teniola Apata.
According to Osagz, the plus sized singer would be better off as a songwriter rather than a singer because she doesn’t have the looks.
This did not go down well with several people on social media and they took to their pages to slam the critic.
A few tweeps even demanded that he apologize to the singer for body shaming her because he apologized to Wizkid over the offensive things he said about him in his podcast.

Whether or not Osagie feels that Teni would be better off in the background of the entertainment industry, several Nigerians seem to have a different opinion, and from their tweets, they were ready for the critic's head.
Legit.ng earlier reported that former BBNaija housemate, Ahneeka, has threatened to sleep with the fathers of people body shaming her, so she would be able to afford taking care of herself.
The 25-year-old beauty, who must have been thoroughly put off by the trolls who talk about her in nasty ways, took to Instagram to make a rant.
In the post she shared on her Instastory, Ahneeka threatened to sleep with the fathers of those who troll her and body shame other people.
Although she claimed doing just this would make her look better and more admirable, its adverse effect is that it would affect the children of the men she slept with.
