Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong is excited to be a father since the birth of his first son Oscar in the summer.

The Nigeria international took to his official Instagram account on Tuesday to celebrate how good he felt with Baby Oscar while parting with a comment in Italian, “Finalmente benvenuto a casa il mio bambino.”

This literally means, ‘finally welcome home my baby,” added an apparently overjoyed Troost-Ekong was seen in picture cuddling Oscar as he looks innocently at the camera.

Prior to the birth of Oscar, Troost-Ekon disclosed he is very committed to his partner, adding that she has been a pillar of support all the way.

Interestingly, Troost-Ekong’s two-month old baby boy Oscar was born in July, while he was still plying his trade with Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor.

However, few weeks after Oscar’s arrival, the hard tackling defender sealed a switch to the Italian Serie A outfit Udinese.

Reacting after landing the Eagles defender, the club’s Technical director Daniele Pradè said: “Ekong is a player with an important physical structure.

“Skilled in the air both in defense and attack. We are talking about an aggressive central defender, strong and with an excellent game reading.”

Meanwhile, previously had reported that Italian topflight campaigners Udinese have sealed a deal with Turkish side Bursaspor to sign Super Eagles defence ace William Troost-Ekong.

According to reports coming out of the Italy suggest Udinese reportedly offered €3.3m for Nigeria international who celebrates his 25th birthday anniversary next month.

Interestingly, Troost-Ekong who has three goals from 33 appearances for Bursaspor was severally linked with a switch to French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais before moving to Turkey from Gent in 2017.
