The ‘Best goal’ was unexpectedly given to Mohamed Salah. It was unexpected because among the contenders there were two overhead hits made by Ronaldo and Bale.
Thibaut Courtois was named ‘Best goalkeeper.’ The Belgian very exquisitely thanked all for the award, including his former ‘Chelsea’ partners.
