AAU Massacre: Niger corps member visiting her friend among casualties

- A NYSC corps member named Ugwi Mary Martha has been identified as one of those gunned down by cultists

- 10 students were allegedly murdered in cold blood by cultists on September 18, in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo state

- The bloodbath started as a fight between two students at Judges Quarters in Ekpoma

Legit.ng has come across reports which reveal the identity of one of the victims of the earlier reported AAU Massacre which happened during the late hours of September 18.

It was earlier reported that a group of cultists purportedly murdered 10 students during a graduation party at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo state.

Among the victims was a final year medical student identified as Dr Einstein, who was set to graduate in a couple of days. Just recently, the identity of another victim has emerged online. Reports reveal that late Ugwi Mary Martha is a Niger state corps member who was in the school visiting a friend at the time of the tragedy.

To enjoy her stay, she joined her friend at the graduation party which was held at Judges Quarters in Ekpoma. Unfortunately, the party turned into a bloodbath, when two students' fight escalated to a cultist retaliation.

According to reports, Martha, was a graduate of banking and finance from the institution and decided to spend time with her friend who reportedly just graduated.

It is unknown if the said friend was also murdered but many people are heartbroken over the loss of lives of innocent students who were set to take over the world, having reached a milestone in their education.

Meanwhile, just recently, an ordinary initiation ceremony into a newly formed secret confraternity named " The New Black Movement of Africa" a breakaway faction of the Aiye cult group, turned sour, on Thursday, September 6.

In a statement made available to Legit.ng , one of the recruits who could not endure the torture and other initiation rites he was subjected bolted for his dear life and ran to his mother's house at Jakande Estate, Ajah, Lagos.
