Award winning author, Dike Chukwumerije, shared details of how he narrowly escaped death recently on social media. Sharing photos on Facebook, Dike revealed that he found the windshield of his car smashed recently, thinking it was a stone, only to find a stray bullet.
Chukwumerije revealed that the incident occurred on September 16, just outside his house, where he parked his car. Surprisingly, he was standing right by the car when he heard the loud bang and assumed it was just a stone thrown by someone.
Upon searching his bonnet, he found a spent bullet which could have easily injured him or worse, ended his life had it hit him.

Luckily, the damage only affected his car and not him or anyone else around. Many social media users immediately reacted to the news, thanking God on behalf of the author for safety and grace.

Meanwhile, a University of Lagos (Unilag) final year student, Rasaq Akokia and a staff Akintunde Fadugba, were accidentally killed by hoodlums in Yaba.
It was disclosed that the unfortunate incident took place on Opayemi street, Abule Ijesha, Yaba at about 11pm on Friday night, March 9. The deceased were hit by stray bullets.
