- Senator Ademola Adeleke has reacted to alleged attacks on his campaign convoy
- The PDP candidate also boasted that nothing would stop his victory during governorship election holding in the state on September 22
- He, however, said that his six point agenda would redeem Osun state
The candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP) in the forth coming Osun gubernatorial election, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has described his six point agenda as the path of redemption and collective prosperity of the people of the state.
Legit.ng reports that in a statement signed by the director of media and publicity, Ademola Adeleke campaign organization, Olawale Rasheed, the governorship hopeful made this known while receiving members of Osun Democratic Society over recent attacks on his campaign convoy.
He said that the attacks were designed to stop his bid to lead Osun to redemption, declaring that, "I am further determined to campaign and win this election for the good of our people.
"I thank you for your solidarity visit. My agenda is for people , by the people and for the people. When I put the agenda together, our party leaders and technocrats also vetted and validated our plans. It is all about the people and how to return prosperity in place of hunger and want."
The PDP candidate reiterated his earlier policy statement that workers would enjoy prosperous time under his administration, adding that he would be a governor who truly serve the people.
He said: "I will be a governor who truly serves the people, who brings food on the table, who fights corruption, who pays salaries regularly.
"Every worker deserves his pay. Our government will address workers' entitlement and welfare upon assumption of office. I have the capacity to deliver on this and other key progrmames as contained in our six-point agenda.
"As a performing senator, I have focused on delivering dividends of democracy to my people. I ensured full implementation of constituency projects with all honesty and transparency. As a governor, I will continue this track record of performance, public servants, artisans, teachers, market women and down trodden poor will have a joyful life."
Adeleke implored the people of the state to persevere and deploy their voting cards to end the suffering and bring joy by voting him as governor, assuring that, "I will not disappoint you as governor of Osun state."
Speaking earlier, the leader of the society, comrade Hammed Ajagbusi condemned recent upsurge in political violence in the state, especially against opposition leaders, urging security agencies to act quickly to stem the the incident.
He said: "We are here in solidarity with the PDP candidate. Attacks and violence are serious threats to the democratic process. We urge security agencies to act quickly."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that an election observer and monitoring group, the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement (YIAGA Africa), on Thursday, September 13, in Osogbo, the state capital expressed worry about incident of vote buying in the state.
