Karuis captured enjoying ice cream 6 weeks after UCL final howler

- Loris Karius lost his Reds teammates support after poor response to his UCL nightmare

- The German was mocked worldwide for his errors despite apologising on social media

- Karius has since joined Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas in the summer window

Loris Karius has been blamed for not getting the right backing from his Reds teammates after his UEFA Champions League final howler against Real Madrid.

According to a UK Mirror report citing sources at Daily Mail, the German did not react in the right way, after committing two questionable errors in the 3-1 defeat in Kiev.

The report further revealed that Karius, who is currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas, was alleged to have suffered from a concussion before the mistakes that lead to Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale’s goals in the encounter.

Immediately after the match, the shot-stopper took to the social media, to plead for forgives and was also ably backed by Kop teammates as well as compatriot and club manager Jurgen Klopp after the final.

However, six weeks later, he uploaded a video on Instagram looking less concerned as he enjoyed his vacation with ice cream on a street in California.

After receiving negative responses and messages concerning the video content, he had no option than to delete the post, but UK Daily Mail’s Dominic King insists the video has done more bad than good to Karius career alongside his relationship with Liverpool squad members.

“Slowly but surely, his actions led to trust being eroded and, for some, the video he posted to Instagram in July of him exercising and eating ice cream in California was the final straw," notes King.

“That was a time for self-awareness, to keep his head down and work but he continued to make himself a story,” submitted King, who hammered on the importance of the 25-year-old, for not keeping his head down after his costly errors.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has joined Turkish topflight side Besiktas on a two-year loan deal this summer.

The Germany international was superb for the Reds last season until the final of the UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

He made two costly mistakes in their final encounter against Los Blancos in Kiev over three months ago. Karius further errors against Tranmere Rovers and Borussia Dortmund made the supporters lose confidence in the German.
