Nigerian man allegedly shot 4 times for overtaking a company’s car in Rivers state

- A viral video shared on Facebook has many Nigerians worried over the worth of citizens' lives in the country

- A Nigerian man, Tasie-Amadi Wenenda, was allegedly shot at four times by a policeman for overtaking company's car in Rivers state

- Tasie can be heard and seen in the video demanding an explanation for the unjust move by the policeman which could have ended his life

A Nigerian man identified as Tasie-Amadi Wenenda has fallen victim of what appears to be police brutality in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

The victim shared a video of the aftermath of an apparent undeserved attack which could have ended his life. The video which has now gone viral shows an angry Tasie demanding an explanation for what he termed 'injustice.'

According to him, he was on the road like many other road users and overtook a company's car which had a police escort. Few seconds later, his car was shot at four times by a policeman.

The company's car then rammed into his, damaging his car and leaving him to struggle out of the predicament.

When asked, the policeman's explanation rested on the lines of him being suspected to be a criminal because of how he overtook their vehicle. Passersby gathered to defended the victim who can be heard screaming and demanding an explanation for the undeserved attack.

Luckily, the victim escaped what could have ended his life, had it been one of the bullets hit him.

It is unknown what the vehicle was transporting and why protection of it led to a misjudgment and perceived attack. However, many social media users have reacted to the viral video with many in support of the victim.

Meanwhile, just recently, the Lagos state police command arrested a policeman who allegedly shot a trailer driver dead along Burma road, Apapa.

The trigger-happy cop was taken in alongside 18 suspected hoodlums who allegedly caused mayhem in the area following the killing.
