2019: The wishes of ordinary Nigerians have been fulfilled by Buhari - Onochie

- As the 2019 general elections draw nearer, President Muhammadu Buhari's aide, Lauretta Onochie, has said the president has fulfilled the wishes of ordinary Nigerians

- She stated this after the president submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms to the APC on Wednesday, September 12

- During the submission of the form, Buhari expressed his gratitude to the political group that purchased the N45 million form for him

After President Muhammadu Buhari submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party secretariat, his aide on new media, Lauretta Onochie, has said her principal has fulfilled the wishes of ordinary Nigerians who crave a better life under his administration.

Legit.ng gathers that President Buhari's media aide took to her Twitter handle to make the assertion.

According to her, Buhari's form was received by the national chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, and the party's National Working Committee.

She tweeted:

Legit.ng had reported that during Buhari's submission of the forms, he said that every hand must be on deck not to allow those that were in power from 1999 to 2015 to come back to power.

The president expressed his gratitude to the Nigeria Consolidation Ambassador Network (NCAN), the political group that purchased the forms for him.

Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja shortly after presiding over the federal executive council meeting on Wednesday, September 12.

Security was beefed up ahead of the president's arrival at the national secretariat located at Blantyre street, Wuse II, Abuja. Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and policemen from the Presidential Villa were on ground to secure the area.

Also previously reported by Legit.ng was that following its gesture of buying expression of interest and nomination forms for President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigeria Consolidation Ambassador Network (NCAN) said its action did not violate any law in the country.

This was stated by the group's national coordinator, Barrister Sanusi Musa, on Friday, September 7, while addressing journalists in Abuja.
