Just in: Ambode submits APC governorship nomination form in Abuja

Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday, September 12, reportedly submitted his nomination form, despite alleged fallout between him and the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Bola Tinubu.

This was disclosed in a tweet by Dele Momodu. It was reported that the form was submitted at the APC headquarters by an ally of the governor and his estranged godfather.

Ambode was alleged to have lost his good standing with the political godfather, Tinubu, who has gone on to select another candidate, thereby denying Ambode, a second term in office.
