The majority of the existing courses have the index 6 (refers to three-credit courses) and the rest have the index 12 (these are six-credit courses). Each course thus has a specific value that’s determined by the Governors of the University. This cost should be multiplied with the index of the course in order to receive the full tuition value.

For the international students, the 2018-2019 University of Alberta undergraduate tuition fees will make the following:

  • Half course (3 credits, index 6) will cost $2,166.84 (the tuition index value makes $361.14)
  • Half course (3 audits, index 6) will cost $1,083.42 (the tuition index value makes $361.14)
  • Half course (6 credits, index 12) will cost $4,333.68 (the tuition index value makes $361.14)
  • Half course (6 credits, index 12) will cost $2,166.84 (the tuition index value makes $361.14)

Students are allowed to pay only after they have registered. The registration for spring and summer is available around the middle of February. The registration for autumn and winter is available early in July.

In addition to the tuition fees, all students are expected to pay program fees. They are assigned to Law (a JD Program). It makes $11,945.26 per one term and $23,890.52 per two terms.
