France World Cup winner Raphael Varane and family members were in party mood last weekend after his sister claimed the Miss Dunkerquois award.
According to a UK Sun report, the 19-year-old Annabelle Varane, was on top of her game and is expected to start preparations for Miss France contest.
It was double joy for the Varanes after the Real Madrid defence ace alongside Les Blues squad members celebrated a glorious homecoming after their summer World Cup success with a 2-1 win over Holland at Stade de France on Sunday.
The encounter saw the pair Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud netting the goals.
Interestingly, it was more joy for the 25-year-old and his parents following his sister’s reaction after the pageant.
According to additional report from La Voix du Nord, the beauty who combines her studies as a law student is also a basketball player, saw off ten other contestants for the title after making a touching speech that helped her claim the precious award.
“I was the victim of a verbal aggression, almost physical, which was racist.
“If I am elected Miss, I will get involved in the fight against racism and beyond, against all discrimination,” she was quoted as saying.
Annabelle, will be looking forward to October 13, when she and other contestants for the Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais election take the stage.
At the end of the day, the eventual winner will then battle it out for for Miss France 2019 at an event slated to hold at the Zenith of Lille in December.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that France summer World Cup stars celebrated Chelsea’s N'Golo Kanté with a special song at Stade de France on Sunday, September 9, as they celebrated their exploits during the world’s global football fiesta in Russia.
According to a Sportbible.com report, it was not surprising that the French stars opted to celebrate the midfielder, in order to allow him share the spotlight.
