Corps members taking part in the 2019 general elections have been warned to respect electoral laws and discharge their duties with diligence.
The warning was given by the director general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig Gen Suleiman Kazaure, while addressing the corps members deployed to Delta, Edo and Bayelsa states for the 2018 Batch B, Stream Two service year, Vanguard reports.
Legit.ng gathers that Kazaure said that the NYSC would not protect any corps member found to be guilty of election malpractice.
He added: “The scheme has partnered with all security agencies in the country towards ensuring maximum protection for all corps members before, during and after the elections."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the director-general of the NYSC, Brig Gen Zakari Kazaure, warned that travelling out of camp or places of primary assignment without obtaining permission remained an offence.
Kazaure spoke at the Ekiti state permanent orientation camp, situated in Ise/Emure, in Ise/Orun local government area, during a visit to educate corps members on the dangers inherent in playing with their health and security.
