Juju Malema's supporters refer to him as 'black Jesus', South Africans react

South Africa's political party, Diehard Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF), supporters have gone as far as to compare their leader to Jesus.

Earlier this week a photo of Julius Malema as the black Jesus started circulating on social media and it frustrated tweeps.

On Thursday, September 6, Malema called out AfriForum, suggesting a meeting between the two parties to settle the issues over land expropriation without compensation once and for all.

"Afriforum is very provocative, maybe is time for us to engage face to face," Malema wrote on Twitter.

However, responding on the tweet, Juju's supporter asked the 'messiah' to lead them and it enraged some tweeps.

Social media user @rousseau_pa wrote: "No claims needed, no compensation, a lot of land available in a warm place for taking His Name (Image) in vain. Exodus 20:7 (KJV 1900): Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain."

“The ANC claimed that they will rule till Jesus comes, but they were wrong, the EFF has arrived. The Jesus that they are talking about arrived five years ago," he said.
