- He is not a part of the Danish national team to prosecute their National League clash against Wales on Sunday, September 9

Former Arsenal star Nicklas Bendtner has reportedly been arrested by the Danish police authorities after leaving a taxi driver's jaw mended earlier on Sunday.

The 30-year-old striker joined Rosenborg from Nottinham Forest in the summer of 2017 and has scored 24 goals for them in 47 appearances.

He joined the Danish club side for an undisclosed fee and his current deal with the club will expires in December 2019.

Meanwhile, the Mirror reports that the former Gunners star was out all on Saturday night in Copenhagen, and Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet claims Bendtner was charged by police.

A spokesman for the taxi company, DanTaxi, told the publication: "It's the name (Bendtner) that the driver has reported. The episode has taken place with the taxi company's employees.

"We are deeply shaken. This applies to everyone in the business. We have been informed internally, and of course this is something that has left us shaken.

"Copenhagen police confirmed to the newspaper that they received a report of violence against a taxi driver at 2.41am on Sunday."

The former Juventus star wasn't included in his national team side to face Wales in Sunday night's UEFA National League.

Before joining Rosenberg, Bendtener has featured to the likes of Wolfsburg, Nottingham Forest after leaving Arsenal in 2014.

He also spent time on loan at Sunderland, Birmingham and Juventus while contracted to the Gunners.
