Juventus have reportedly placed Cristiano Ronaldo on a special training work in a bid to help him re-find his goal scoring form.

The Portuguese superstar joined the Italian giants in the summer for £99million from Real Madrid, but is yet to open his account in the Serie A.

The 33-year-old has failed to score against Chievo, Lazio and Parma, playing 90 minutes in all of the matches, with Mario Mandzukic leading the scoring charts in Turin.

The former Manchester United star came into the season on the back of a gruelling La Liga season and World Cup during the summer and Juve are targeting that their most prized possession to hit top form in January.

As a result, Juve's manager Massimiliano Allegri and his coaches have put together a carefully managed work load to help their striker get back to form.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport explained: "Cristiano Ronaldo has taken this type of programming a step further, because during the seasons he has studied together with the experts of Real Madrid the evolution of his body and therefore has adapted his way of working.

"He considered that being ready from the beginning of the season could be counterproductive and even risky because of the probability of fatigue, if not injury, would increase during the decisive phase of spring.

"That is why in recent years he has slightly modified his plans."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Spanish striker Alvaro Morata has said he does not believe Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus was prompted by tensions with his former team-mates.

The Portuguese talisman completed a €100million move to the Turin giants, describing the club as "different" and suggesting "everyone is very friendly, the fans too, like a family".
