Beautiful Nollywood star, Genevieve Nnaji, has revealed she's a proud feminist in a recent interview where she talked about the inspiration behind her directorial movie debut, lion Heart.
Speaking to Women and Hollywood, she talked about the movie which she reveals is a "drama about family values, succession, and most importantly, female empowerment"
Genevieve has made her mark in the movie industry in which she has reigned for over two decades as an actress. Delving into visual storytelling, the actress made sure to highlight messages that resonate with her core of existence.
More importantly, she revealed that she's a proud feminist who hopes women find a way to embrace themselves fully. she said: " I’m a proud feminist who embraces her femininity. I feel sometimes women are made to feel self-conscious and ashamed of their womanhood. Perhaps like Wonder Woman, we may wake up one day to discover that it is our superpower, and then we would be unstoppable."
This is in direct contrast to the stance of billionaire heiress, DJ Cuppy, who recently revealed that she's not a feminist because she doesn't understand it.
Cuppy who is gaining ground in her music career, all thanks to the love and support she's getting from her wealthy father, stated that she will rather focus her energy on building her career than have debates about feminism or stand for the cause.
