Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other leaders of the party on Thursday, September 6, stormed Osogbo, the capital of Osun state ahead September 22 governorship election in the state.
Legit.ng gathered that the APC leaders were in the state to campaign for the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola
The governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi, who was one of the APC governors that graced the state of the living spring wrote on his Facebook page that: "Today, I attended the mega rally of our great party, APC, in Osogbo, Osun state, together with Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; national chairman APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole; Chief Bisi Akande, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Ekiti state governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Governor Ibikunle Amosun and other APC leaders ahead of the September 22 governorship election.
"All in support of our party's gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the immediate chief of staff to the governor of Osun state, Gboyega Oyetola, was described by his principal, Rauf Aregbesola, as the most suitable and qualified candidate to take from him the baton of Osun state leadership after the September 22 gubernatorial election in the state.
It was reported that Governor Aregbesola made the remark at Ooni of Ife palace in Ile-Ife during a courtesy visit to the monarch's palace to commence the campaign of Oyetola for the coming election in the state.
Oyetola emerged the flag-bearer for the coming gubernatorial election after a tough battle with over ten candidates jostling for the number one seat.
