If you are looking for arms go to Sambisa - Shehu Sani tells police

The lawmaker representing Kaduna central at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the recent raid on the home of elder statesman Edwin Clark by some men of Nigeria police in Abuja.

Sani who criticised the police on his Twitter feed for the raid that sparked outrage nationwide said the police should go elsewhere to look for arms instead of raiding a house where the things they would find are books and other petty domestic stuffs.

“If you are looking for a hat,a walking stick and stock of books go to Clark’s castle;If you are looking for arms go to Sambisa,” he added.

“The raid on the house of chief EK Clark is condemnable.The Elder statesman should be treated with respect by security agencies knowing the implications of such an action.The police should apologize to him,” he said on Twitter on Wednesday, September 5.

Legit.ng had also reported that Ismail Yakubu, the informant who gave police information that led to the raid of the house of Chief Edwin Clark revealed that a taxi driver gave him the information that he passed to officers.

Yakubu was paraded at the police headquarters in Abuja for giving false information.
