- The PDP has extended the sale of its nomination forms for presidential, gubernatorial and National Assembly aspirants
- The party also extended the submission of these forms
- PDP, however, said that the extension does not apply to aspirants of the State Houses of Assembly
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, September 5, announced the extension of the sale and submission of the presidential, gubernatorial and National Assembly nomination forms.
The party said aspirants for the positions can now buy and submit their forms on Monday, September 10, rather than the earlier deadline, Thursday, September 6.
A statement by the PDP national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the aspirants are expected to submit their forms at designated offices of the party.

He however noted that the extension does not apply to aspirants of the State Houses of Assembly.
Ologbondiyan said: “This extension, however, does not apply to aspirants for State House of Assembly position.
“Aspirants in this category are to submit their duly completed forms at officially designated chapter of the party on or before the close of work on Thursday, September 6.
"All members of the party, particularly aspirants for various positions, should be guided accordingly."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the ruling All Progressives Congress on Tuesday, September 4, announced the reduction of the cost for its presidential nomination form from N55 million to N45 million.
The APC's decision to reduce the cost of the forms followed protests and condemnation from various quarters over the high cost of the nomination and expression of interest forms.
