- Former England captain John Terry is on the radar of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho
- The Ex-Chelsea star is a free agent after failing to renew his contract with Championship side Aston Villa
- Meanwhile, Red Devils boss might reunite with his former player to solve his defensive issues
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly planning to sign Chelsea legend John Terry to solve his defensive woes.
The Red Devils have endured a disappointing start to the 2018-19 Premier League campaign after losing two of their four topflight encounters this term.
Mourinho tried signing Atletico Madrid center back Diego Godin before EPL transfer deadline day but the deal failed to pull through.
Terry and the Portuguese tactician worked together during their stay at the Stamford Bridge and the former England captain is tipped to reunite with his former boss at Old Trafford.
The 37-year-old spent last term at Championship side Aston Villa but refused to renew his contract with the club.
However, having failed to land a top centre-half over the summer, United’s back-line has looked extremely fragile during their poor start to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the Sun citing talkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham claims Terry should be on the radar of his old Blues manager.
And the Portuguese coach should be doing everything to beat Villa as he would prove to be the ideal short-term solution for Mourinho’s leaky defence.
Speaking on his Drivetime show, Durham said: "All Manchester United can go with is free agents, John Terry is exactly that so why wouldn’t Manchester United go for John Terry?
"He is better than Rojo, of course he is.
"John Terry would get into the Manchester United team ahead of Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Lindelof. Think of the crisis they have got at the back, think about how well Jose Mourinho knows John Terry.
"He is a free agent, it could happen. If Jose Mourinho has thought about it, I can see that happening."
Legit.ng previously reported that England and Chelsea legend John Terry considered joining French League side Marseille this summer.
The 37-year-old is clubless since his one year deal with lower division side Aston Villa expired at the end of last season.
Terry was sighted at the Olympians pre-season training camp on Tuesday as the Ligue 1 club continues their preparations for the 2018-19 season.
