Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba reportedly wants former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane to replace Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils got their Premier League campaign off to an average start after losing two of their first four EPL matches this term.

United returned to winning ways following their 2-0 victory over Burnley at the Turf Moor over the weekend.

However, the 46-year-old French tactician is a major target for the club as they hope to improve their performances as the season progresses.

Zidane won three consecutuve Champions League titles for the Galacticos before quitting the club at the end of last season.

The Mirror quoting Metro newspaper claims Pogba is hoping to link up with the 1998 FIFA World Cup at the club.

"Paul grew up with Zidane as his hero and would like to play for him at some stage in his career," said a source, via the Metro .

"He could have back at Real, but he felt he had unfinished business at United and there interest only came along very late in the day.

According to a UK Express report, citing sources at the Daily Telegraph, the possibility of Zidane taking over the managerial duties at Manchester United is exciting the French duo.

Already, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Mourinho is expected to get the axe if the Old Trafford dwellers continue to play second fiddle to the likes of rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.
