Barcelona star Gerard Pique is not disturbed by his driving ban after arriving to the club's training on a £9,000 electric bike.

The Spain international is on the verge of bagging a six-month prison sentence for driving without a valid licence. He was caught in the act by the Spanish authorities on Friday.

According to the Sun, drivers are given 12 points on their licence but can be banned if they lose them for traffic offences in Spain.

The law also states that any driver that exhausts the points given to them will not be allowed back on the road until they complete a 24-hour course and pass a test at the Traffic Headquarters.

Pique was said to have been caught traffic officers driving with illegal driving licence with zero point - reasons he has been banned him from getting behind the wheel.

However, the defender seems not bothered by his limitations as he went for training on Monday rocking up on a personalised bike that can reach over 45mph.

According to AS, Pique was saddled to a state-of-the-art G12 H bike that is customised for the Catalan ace.

The company gave him, Cesc Fabregas and Lionel Messi their own bikes and it appears Pique will be putting his to good use in the near future.

Meanwhile, the former Manchester United star will be waiting patiently to hear the verdict from his driving offence which carries a punishment of six months in prison or a £5370 fine.

SunSport reports that Pique is not alien to breaking traffic laws as he was in trouble for breaking the speed limit and reckless driving last year.

In 2014 he was slapped with a £9400 fine following an altercation with a traffic officer.

And three years before that he was caught holding a child in his arms instead of having him on a designated seat.

Legit.ng previously reported that Gerard Pique was caught driving in Spain without a valid drivers' licence and the former Manchester United star could face six months in jail.

The strong defender was said to have being caught on Friday afternoon, August 31, when police stopped him for routine check and demanded for his documents.

Radio station Cadena SER claim the officers cross checked the documents and found that Gerard Pique had no points on his licence.
