Spanish ace David Silva’s stunning free-kick goal for Manchester City in their heavy win against Huddersfield has been nominated for Carling Goal of the Month award for August.
The seven other standout strikes that made the cut for the August 2018 award includes Roberto Pereyra’s first goal for Watford against Brighton, Callum Wilson’s goal for Bournemouth against West Ham, and Andre Gray’s strike for Watford against Burnley.
Others are Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand goal against Leicester, Jean Seri’s strike for Fulham against Burnley as well as Tottenham’s Lucas Moura second goal against Manchester United.

Interestingly, football fans across the globe are expected to cast their vote through the Premier League website until 23:59 BST on Monday, 3 September to vote.

The winner for the first Carling Goal of the Month award for the season will be announced next week.

The Italian born tactician replaced Antonio Conte as the head coach of the club and has been impressive in his side's start to the 2018-19 EPL campaign.
