German goalkeeper Bernd Leno has played down his lack of playing time at Arsenal following his £20million move this summer.

The Gunners manager Unai Emery has trusted Petr Cech to be his No1 so far this season, but the German stopper is not worried about not having any action this season.

The 26-year-old claims he knows his time at the Emirates will come and he needs to continue working hard in training.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star told German media outfit Bild: "I am convinced that my change was the right decision.

"I'm not crazy. It may take a few weeks or months, but my time here will come."

Arsenal Spanish manager echoed Leno's sentiments too, piling praise on the German international for his work in training after the opening game of the season.

However, the former PSG boss did refuse to rule out the possibility of Cech continuing as No1.

Emery said: "Leno is starting with us, he is working very well and played very good in pre-season.

"He can wait [for] his moment.

"Petr Cech is doing very good. He has experience of defending our goal."
