They are animals - Residents of Israeli town kick African students out

- Israelis have continued to discriminate against Africans in their country

- The recent case of racism in the country is the report of African students being kicked out of the Israeli town of Avshalom by locals

- The African students were kicked out because the locals felt they pose danger to them

After locals claimed they would bring "rape, murder and break-ins to the Israeli town of Avshalom, students from various African countries who were part of an Israeli government programme to study agriculture, have been kicked out of the town.

IOL reports that Israeli media obtained WhatsApp messages from a group of local residents, which read thus: “There is a very serious problem and we need to deal with it urgently. Otherwise, remember very well what I’m saying, the day is not far away that there will be rape, murder and break-ins in the community."

Nir Damari, the owner of the house in Avshalom that was rented out to the students, said: “This is racism, it’s nothing else. What really bothers the residents is the renters’ skin colour."

Recall that in July, Israeli parliamentarian, Oren Hazan, said that Africans had no culture, adding that African refugees in Israel should be stopped from having children. He said African immigrants were a “threat to Israel” that would destroy the country.

Hazan said: “If we don’t kick them out they will kick us out. We need to destroy the problem when it is still small."

Meanwhile, previously reported that the prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, on Tuesday, March 20, said that an electric fence along the Israel-Egypt border had saved Jewish state from jihadist attacks or what he believed would be worse - a tide of African migrants.

Netanyahu's office quoted him as telling a development conference in the southern Israel desert town of Dimona that if it was not for the fence, the country would be faced with severe attack by Sinai terrorists and something much worse, which he said was a flood of illegal migrants from Africa.
