- Neymar stopped by at Barcelona to catch up with former teammates at the Camp Nou
- He spent four years at the Catalan club side before joining PSG in a world record fee
- The former Santos forward took some pictures with old pals and posted them on social media
Paris Saint Germain superstar Neymar made a surprise return to his former team Barcelona to see his old teammates.
The 26-year-old dumped the Camp Nou side in the summer of 2017 in a world record fee of £198million to joined the French League champions.
He has however been linked with a move back to the Catalan club just one year into his contract with the Parisians.
Meanwhile, on his return to the Spanish League side, the Brazilian was given a heroic reception at his arrival.
According to SunSport Neymar took time off from PSG to visit some of his old teammates; Luis Suarez, Rafinha, Ivan Rakitic and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
He later posted a series of images of his re-acquaintance on social media with the Barcelona superstars.
Excited Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic while reacting to Neymar's visit said: "I'm glad to see you, mate."
While Germany and Barca goalkeeper Ter-Stegen wrote: "Did you miss me, haha."
Uruguay forward, Luis Suarez, who was a strike partner of the Brazilian during his time at the club said: "Missed you brother."
Neymar has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, a move that may anger Barca fans.
Los Blancos are tempted to switch their attention to the Brazilian in 2019 should their bid to land Kylian Mbappe this summer fail.
Should PSG be found to be in breach of Financial Fair Play regulations - announced today following a probe - it's possible that at least one of the stars would need to be sold to raise funds.
Legit.ng previously reported that Paris-Saint-Germain star Neymar was ready to complete a move to Spanish side Real Madrid.
Since the Brazilian star moved to France last year from Barcelona, he has been a target for Real Madrid who want to bring him back to the La Liga.
And according to the report by Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Neymar wants to move to Real Madrid for him to play alongside Portugal international Ronaldo.
