Chelsea star Eden Hazard scored a penalty goal against Newcastle United to emerge the club’s third best on top scorers in the English Premier League.
The Belgium playmaker calmly slotted in from the spot after taking two steps as the Blues claimed a 2-1 win at St James' Park.
The goal also saw Hazard topple club’s icon Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink goals account during the Premier League era.
At the last count, it was the Belgium captain’s 70th goal in 211 matches for Chelsea in the English topflight, where he also created 41 assists within the period.
On the other hand Hasselbaink netted 69 times in just 136 Premier League matches for Chelsea.
However, the 27-year-old Hazard, still have a distance to make it to the club’s top scorer spots.
Ivorian ace Didier Drogba with 104 Premier League goals in 254 matches, is currently on second spot while Frank Lampard with a stunning 147 Premier League goals for Chelsea in 429 league matches, is the club's all-time record scorer in all competitions with 211 goals.
Lampard, who blasted home 177 Premier League goals, is fourth since the name change in 1992.
Only the likes of Alan Shearer (260), Wayne Rooney (208) and Andy Cole (187) have scored more than Lampard.
The Belgium playmaker at the moment has 90 goals across all competitions for West London side but is the club’s 12th all-time goal scorer.
The forward had 134 touches against Newcastle, his most ever for the Chelsea.
Speaking after the game Hazard said: "I'm the kind of player who likes to have the ball at his feet.
"So, I'm very happy."
