I'll help Ayefele rebuild his Music House - Governor Ajimobi

- Governor Abiola Ajimobi has promised to rebuild Music House in Ibadan

- The building owned by Yinka Ayefele was partly demolished recently

- The governor promised to help rebuild the building after monarchs were called in to settle the dispute between him and Ayefele

After kings and traditional chiefs were brought in to put an end to the dispute between Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state and Evangelist Yinka Ayefele, the governor has promised to help rebuild his Music House which was partly demolished recently.

The governor made this promise at the 90th birthday celebration of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, which was held at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan.

Vanguard reports that Ajimobi pledged the state government’s commitment to assist the renowned gospel singer in rebuilding the demolished building and also give necessary logistics, adding that Ayefele had held a peace talk with him while he visited him in his office.

He said: “I thank God for the life of the Olubadan for clocking 90 years because he is my father. I pray that the ancient city of Ibadan will witness more development during his reign.

“I want to say that the imbroglio between the state government and Yinka Ayefele over the demolition of his Music House has been resolved. And I pledge the government’s commitment to assist him.”

Legit.ng earlier reported that following the demolition of a multi-million naira building in Ibadan tagged ‘Music House’ belonging to Yinka Ayefele, the popular singer met with Governor of Ajimobi on Friday, August 24.

The demolition sparked a public outcry and on Thursday, August 23, the governor set up a meeting with the singer, his younger brother and his publicist.

Ayefele has released the details of the meeting through his publicist, David Ajiboye.
