Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told his friends that he is expected to be offered Manchester United job should embattled Jose Mourinho get fired.

Since Zidane left Real Madrid after winning the Champions League title last season, he has not gotten another club to manage.

Jose Mourinho and Manchester United chief Ed Woodward are said to have been involved in a row over the signing of some players that the ex Chelsea coach wants at Old Trafford.

A row with Frenchman Paul Pogba and a dismal defeat to Brighton only made life more difficult for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United this season.

And the Mail reports that ex-Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane would take the job after deciding he wants to work in the Premier League.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly told friends that he would have quit any other club by now.

Mourinho is said to be frustrated by what he sees as a lack of backing from vice chairman Ed Woodward, which prompted him to tell friends he would have walked out in protest.
