- Napoli say Maurizio Sarri failed to win any title in three years despite being given everything
- He was replaced by former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti
- Chelsea have won their first two Premier League games this term under Sarri
Italian club Napoli have attacked Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri reminding him of how he failed to win any title despite being given everything by the club in three years.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis replaced Maurizio Sarri at the club with ex Chelsea and Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelloti.
And before Napoli's first game of the season in Italy against AC Milan, the club's boss offered his support for Ancelotti claiming that Maurizio Sarri was also supported during his stay at the club.
“From last season there remains the pleasure of playing so well but also the bitterness of having won nothing.
"We gave Maurizio Sarri everything and we won nothing in three years,'' Napoli president explained according to the report by Mirror UK.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have won their first two Premier League games this season under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Maurizio Sarri who is the coach of Premier League side Chelsea stated clearly that his target is to be the Blues boss for the next ten years.
Since the creation of Chelsea, and also since Roman Abramovich bought the club in 2003, no manager has spent 10 years at the Stamford Bridge club.
In fact the longest anyone has managed under the Russian billionaire is Jose Mourinho in his first spell at the club as he spent three years and three months.
