Canadian police declare Nigerian man wanted for serious domestic violations

- A Nigerian man, Philip Prince Afolabi, has been declared wanted by the Calgary Police in Canada

- He is wanted for sexual assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and other misdemeanors

- The suspect is described as being five feet nine inches tall, with a slim build, brown eyes and black hair

The Calgary Police in Canada has declared a 27-year-old Nigerian man, Philip Prince Afolabi, wanted, following his disappearance, after being released on bail.

According to Punch, quoting CBC News, Afolabi has been charged with 43 “serious domestic incidents.”

Legit.ng gathers that the young man is wanted for sexual assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, overcoming resistance by choking, criminal harassment, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a controlled substance and multiple breaches of court orders and an emergency protection order.

According to the police statement, “The incidents occurred in the spring, and Afolabi was recently released on bail while awaiting trial.

"He has since disappeared, and investigators from the domestic conflict unit have been working to locate him but have not succeeded. It is hoped a member of the public will know where he can be found.”

The suspect is described as being five feet nine inches tall, with a slim build, brown eyes and black hair.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Canadian authorities showcased the expensive lifestyles of four Canada-based Nigerians who were alleged to be fraudsters.

45-year-old Adedayo Ogundana (also known as Oladipupo Ogund), 37-year-old Adekunle Johnson Omitiran, 44-year-old Duro Akintola (also known as Michie Noah) and 47-year-old Emmanuel Salako (also known as Gee Salaq) were said to be into credit card theft and mail pilfering.

The four individuals were at the center of a riveting police investigation of fraudulent activities running into several millions of dollars.
